I apologize since this has been asked before, but I need advice on charging the battery for my new Karnivorous Creations Proton Pack (which is awesome, future review will follow). I will include pictures in the second post for better reference.
The battery, charger and electronics are sourced from GBFans. On the motherboard, there is a main power/kill switch that keeps everything shut off in the off position. At the very bottom of the motherboard, there is a jack that you can plug the charger into. Mike Nelson (Karnivorous Creations) told me the charger light will be green when you plug into the wall, and when it’s finished, it will turn red. Simple enough.
There seems to be another kill switch on the neutrona wand, so when you turn on the main power switch (motherboard), the lights and sounds don’t power up until you hit the activation switch on the wand. This switch also turns on the vent lights.
I had to plug the charger in order to test the pack. The light on the charger turned red as it was on (and seemed to flicker slightly amber at times). After a successful test, I shut off the pack and let it charge. After about three to four hours, I unplugged the charger and attempted to power on the pack, and nothing happened (unless the charger was in place).
After going through some previous posts about charging the battery, I have to say I’m confused. Most say that the battery must be “on” in order to charger successfully, and it could take up to 12 hours. Some say the charger light will be red when charging, and it will turn green when finished. Should the kill switch be in the “on” position? It doesn’t change the charger light until I hit the activation switch.
Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated!
