So I’m out in the shop propping last night and today (gorgeous weekend for it where I am) and I’m working on my gun, listening to the radio, and enjoying a cold one - a perfect prop atmosphere - when I realize Where’s our commercial? They’ve made hundreds of those Real Men of Genius and American Heroes spots and it’s about damn time they recognize the real men and women of genius of the GB community. And this just makes sense because Budweiser was the boys choice of brew.
Someone with connections needs to contact Budweiser and make this happen.
Maybe back in '84, Budweiser was a good beer, but these days it’s pisswater.
Then again, my favorite beer is called Arrogant Bastard Ale (from Stone Brewery), so I may be a bit of a beer snob. What can i say? I like a flavorful beer.
Budweiser is a terrible beer…The keep trying to church up there image by inventing things like they are the" The King of Beers" or " An American Lager".. But the problem they have yet to address is the actual taste…ass-a-riffic.
FYI… Bud Light stopped using the phrase “American Heroes” because of the 911. That’s why they changed it to “Real Mean of Genius”.
Anyway, I liked how they made of fun of their own invention. The blue aluminum bottle inventor. I went to the liquor store to see if it is still available and who makes it and It turns out to be Bud Light.
I want to get in on this. The only beer I drink is Pacifico, Blue Moon, or Modelo…anyway I don’t like budweiser or corona or anything else really I like to stick to Pacifico, I think it has a good taste.
blue moon is insta migraine for me. when im drinkin its widmer, pbr, newcastle, highlife, woodchuck amber, shocktop, seadog blueberry or shipyard pumpkin head.
Not entirely true - they’d been using the Real Men of Genius line in international advertising for years. They probably just started using the same line as it’s cheaper.
Myself, I can drink all kinds of beers, including Bud, PBR, Rainier, etc. In Montana, we have Big Sky Brewery. They have some great beer, my favorite of which is Moose Drool.
