Building a ghost trap pedal - Few questions about parts

Hey all, so I’m in the middle of building my first trap, and while the glue dries on the actual trap (literally!), I was looking at making the pedal to go along with it, but I’ve run into a few snags. For starters, I have no idea what some of the parts are or where to get them. I just got done ordered from AJ every available pedal part he had on the site, which covered a lot of it, but there’s 3 more parts he doesn’t have listed at all.

First is the gold box piece that’s on the left side of the pedal which red cable plugs into, second is the gold round piece which the yellow cable plugs into, and third are the cables themselves. What are they and where can I get them?

Another question is what do you make the base out of? Just wood? And what is most commonly used to make the ribbed spring thing? Does anyone actually put something in the middle of it or do you just let the pedal lay on top of the plastic (possibly glued to it?)?

Thanks for any help that anyone can give!

the gold box the red wire connects to is a banjo tip the same as found on the gun tip.

the round gold part that the yellow wire connects to is a brass straight the same as found on the EDA on the pack.

the wires themselves are just 5/32" coloured wires. same size as found on the gun tip.

The base is a scratchbuilt part that can be made from MDF or styrene etc.
