guess I happened to be paying a little too close attention last night and found a “goof”/revealing mistake. Not to nitpick or anything just for fun. Wondering who else has seen it.
Right after Ray shoots Slimer, he disappears into the wall followed by the cart slamming into the wall. Look during that shot and you can see to the right of the cart, the corner of the “wall” separates and spits revealing that it is indeed a set for the hallways(even though we knew that) Still kind of fun to catch it after all these years. Had never heard anyone mention it that I recall. Maybe so. Kind of a fun little goof. Look quick or you’ll miss it.
Yeah – he’s saying the set they created for the scene featured a thin fake wall for the impact shot, and when the cart smashed into it, the fake “wall” buckles in a way a real wall would not, to the point of revealing a bit of what’s behind it.
Look at 33:17 and go frame my frame. You can see the door frame (and the door) to the right of the cart wiggle. If you look at the right angle where the two walls meet, you will spot a thin line of light through the seam in the set. Then the wall itself bounces back a bit unnaturally between 33:17 to 33:19.
what DanAmrich said. I just noticed the door you said too. Don’t try to watch it on youtube, it’s tough to see. Check it out on a nice sized TV
Watch the red area, the seam of the wall on the impact.
As far as goofs go, I guess it’s generally called a “revealing mistake”. Like when a boom mic or crew member is visible or stuff like that. In this case, it’s just so brief.

Seriously though, whats the deal on the pig? That sounds like something you could do to torment fanboys on other sites as well. Just pop in, lurk for a while. Make some posts here and there and then bam. Ask if anyone noticed the pig in the movie and watch em scratch their heads. Kinda like right now. And a pig isnt too far fetched and could be anything in any movie.
Hard to tell, even from a DVD frame - there’s a soccer player poster in the room somewhere, I recall. And Marilyn. The one you’re looking at looks like a pop poster.
ahh I remember at one point someone spotted the soccer poster(in the Dean scene) and thought it was Vigo before it was correctly identified as being a soccer poster.
In this case, it’s just so brief.
