Hey all, I can’t remember what the name of this meter is, but I know that it was used for reading pke levels and such, it’s the one Egon has in the museum or was it on the rooftop of dana’s apartment? Crap my bad memory.. Anyways.. Check it out, with a little paint over the radio shack logo and what it really is, it’s an authentic prop!

Seriously though… I remember that slightly… I havn’t watched ghostbusters focusing on props very much, I still watch the movie like I did the first time I watched it. (wich is pretty often, I aim for once a week.) Either way… I want… I need… gimmeeeee gimeeeeeeeee.
It’s a radioshack sound level meter. They’re actually used for adjusting pa systems I think, as that’s where the digital ones my store has. If there’s not a radio shack near you, here’s a link to the meter:

That one Radioshack sells now is the newer updated version. The original one used in the movie was a little more square.

I scored it for about 23euro, and it came with the original holster!! It’s called radio shack sound level meter (actually slighty different from the one shown) and it’s used by Egon just before vigo’s battle and in a cut scene (seen in the trailer) in the Jewelry store were the 4guys crashes down everything
That’s what he has on Dana’s roof. At first I thought you meant the Gigameter, but that looks more like something he used before Vigo.
You can also see it hanging off of Ray’s belt in the GB2. It’s the scene when they’re standing in front of ECTO-1A deciding to use the Statue of Liberty, when Ray give’s the speach, “I can’t believe things have gotten so bad in this city, that there’s no way back!”
