GBFreak1989 started the site because I banned him for a week due to a poor attitude and repor with other members.
I think I should close down GBProps, because it looks like “GB Prop World” is a highly original and cutting edge website.

Not one to complain, but could we ditch some of the emoticons that nobody (except maybe user Back in Black, but he’s not around anymore) ever uses? :?: , :!: , and :idea: come to mind.
along with that, does any one else feel that the crunch bar is already starting to get over used? i have noticed a couple post where people just threw them in with no basis on which one was deserved. come on people, dont kill the joy of a crunch bar already.

See my post right after AJ unveiled the Crunch Bar in this thread. I calls 'em like I sees 'em. What restrictions could be put on it’s use? A minimum number of posts you have to make to unlock it? I hate to see it beaten into the ground too.
hmm… i didnt recall reading it so i went back to read it, and you’re so right. the crunch bar should be earned, not just used when ever some one feels like it. but how can you control it???.. unfortunately you really cant
I’m sure AJ could code something that would do the trick. Maybe after X number of posts a user gets access to the expanded emoticon library, but access could also be granted by an admin. This would help pick up the slack for users who are mature and valued members of the site but don’t post all that often. Also, admins could be able to take away the extra emoticons to keep post whores from making B.S. posts just so they get enough to qualify for the expanded selection.
Just my thoughts…
Just make the extra smilies a supporting member thing. something extra you get for supporting the site. The new members who would kill them would not pay to use them and I’m sure the members who are not supporting can live without the ability to post a picture of a crunch bar.
Either that or wait as more emoticons become available the spamming of the one cool picture one will decrease.
