If it’s called “propworld”, then shouldn’t it have forums for props of all kinds? Looks like it’s just Ghostbusters props. Maybe you should change the name to “Ghostbusters propworld.” Wait, we already have one of those, it’s called gbprops.com…

Wow. Just, wow. You must have a pretty fierce inferiority complex if you interpreted my post as conceited in any way. I’m sorry if I stepped on your toes, but I was just being honest. I don’t feel that I’m better than anyone that is a member of these forums. As a matter of fact, I consider my props to be second-rate when compared to some of the geniuses on these boards. Also, you don’t have to resort to name-calling so quickly. It’s that sort of attitude that will brand you with a bad reputation around here.
its just that there are some people on here who attack other members for no reason and no one does anything about it i told my husband and he took you advice check the website the name has changed all you had to do was suggest you had no right to say what you did so yes i will fight back when someone attacks me

Sorry you feel we are all “pompass jerkoffs” but many of us have been around for a long time, have laid down a lot of the ground work and provided vast amounts of knowledge and input into this prop community… I guess it’s easy to come here as a newbie steal all the knowledge and ideas that the “pompass jerkoffs” gave you for free, and then start your own forum with their information and experiences and pretend to be better then everyone else…
Yeah we are the “pompass jerkoffs” alright, have you looked in the mirror? If the 87 on your nic or 1989 in your forum URL is any indication of your birth year, then may I suggest a little respect for the elders you call “pompass jerkoffs” give some respect and you might get some back… Come here blazing calling us all “pompass jerkoffs” and I don’t believe you are going to win over many fans, why in hell would I or any of us “pompass jerkoffs” want to join your forum since it’s clear how you feel about us from the start?
first of all exoray i wasnt pointing fingers i didnt say elder did i i was saying there are people comeing into this site that are pompas jerk offs and no one seems to do anything about it and its that kinda tude thats ruining this site and chaseing off fans that want to get into prop building so ya you may have been doing this longer its not helping others when you cuss them out when they just want to learn what you have learned i thought these sites were made to help others it dont help calling them stupid and to use the search button if you dont want to help newcomers then freaking leave!

If you feel the people are jerks, than do not go to any forums at all because that’s exactly what you going to find.

Sorry to say this but.Gb props is the one and only Ghostbuster prop site next to Venkman71’s.Why would anyone want to go to another one. when there perfectly happy here.Best of luck though with everything.

Also, I read these boards daily, and I honestly can’t remember any instance when someone “cussed out” you or any other newcomer for simply inquiring about propmaking or parts. The only people any of us ever go after are the ones that open a thread with “anyone know where I can buy a pack?” Even then, I’ve never seen anyone actually get “cussed out.” They just get a pretty heavy dose of sarcasm. I know that it’s sort of childish, but people should learn to read before they sign up for a forum. Maybe AJ should start screening people for high school diplomas before they can get a username. And no, before you come back, guns blazing with “me and my husband graduated in blah, blah, blah”, that was not a rip to you, just idiots in general.
It all boils down to that in the uniform forum she posted about which uniform to get, and gbfreak1989 said something that kinda looked funny and we, well laughed. He got upset and said a bunch of stuff and AJ had to clean it up. Also, us having to ask them to use a period or comma once in a while. You think being 18 or 19 they would have learned sometime.
I am a newbie here and I don’t think anyone has been too bad when it comes to telling people who don’t read the forum rules that they’ve screwed up. It may be a little harsh to a newcomer, but it’s also upsetting to people that have been around doing this to hear “I’m here, gimmie the stuff you have I don’t want to spend anywhere near the same time you did to make something.” When that’s what this whole site is about… problem solving, finding ways to do things, not to be handed everything that’s already freely available on a silver harddrive platter.
It’s cool you took a free forum app and slapped it up on a free hosting site, but acting like you do here I don’t see many people looking at your site, there’s years of experience here that needs to be treated with respect. You don’t just get respect from someone without giving it yourself.
I want to thank every one of the “pompous jerkoffs” for posting the stuff they’ve learned, and for being cool with my learning curve when it comes to some of the stuff that’s already been out there… I’ve asked some stupid questions, becasue I didn’t find anything in my searches… but it’s all in how you ask, it’s a respect thing.
I think I already answered this part, but just to be clear… it’s nobody elses job to hand something freely available when they already provided it in the first place. Also, who are you to tell anybody to leave?
