There are few movies I’d go to the trouble to do this for, and I know a few people here would make use of them. These are based on the original VHS and Laserdisc releases of the film;
I’m working on another one atm as well, that’s more of a direct replacement for the retail version. I’ll post it when (if) it’s finished.

Up the DPI and use some sort of photo paper. I prefer the look of the matte finish over a satin or gloss.

Where’s Winston? Even the official BluRay external packaging makes no reference to him; they even photoshopped him out of the “crossing the streams” picture on the back.
Prologic9 you inspired me! I decided to have a go at a custom cover using your great version as a basis.
It’s based on the 1987 UK VHS retail version and compliments the GBII cover I made that can be found in the GBII section of the boards.

I had the exact same thought.
I always wonder why they feel the need to go crazy in Photoshop with some of the new releases of older movies. The branding for Ghostbusters is so simple and timeless—and you proved that with these retro covers. If it ain’t broke, why fix it?
Same here reminded me of going to the old video store down the road from where I use to live! Every time we went I rented Ghostbusters! I had it for over a week one time and they fined us for it lol! After that my dad had enough and bought me my own copy! Ahh the good old days!

Has anybody re-done/re-worked the artwork of the new U.S. GB 1&2 blu-ray set to fit in a plastic blu-ray case that holds two discs (properly)? I hate the new set with the discs laying on top of each other. I was thinking with some scans and some photoshop work, an insert could be made and printed to fit in a nice, more durable plastic blu-ray case.
Gonna try and make a slipcover for the 1&2 set…anything to cover up that…that…thing.
