Cylcotron lights

Hi there fellow busters,

I hope to get my pack lights soon and am wondering how you did the cyclotron lights. I was thinking of using halogen light chrome covers (see link: http://www.artestuff.com/images/halogen-bulb-chrome.jpg). Is that something people do? Or does it make the leds too bright? Other ideas are welcome!

I butchered 4 cheap torches for the reflectors, its worked really well, i suggest that

Ive heard ( and will probably use) mini funnels found at places like walmart or even the dollar store, if you have one in your area.

i used the reflectors from in a flash light but it made the red lens look pink. i painted the reflectors flat black and it looks great now.

Yeah, I bought 4 cheap flash lights at a dollar store and stole the reflectors out of them. It works great now!

Here’s my set up:

And again thanks for al the ideas! Especially the pic, gives me an idea how to do stuff under the hood.

Thanx!!

Thats super helpful. On a somewhat related note, do you have a clear tube running through that loom, or is it just the loom and wires? I feel like loom alone might not be strong enough

Or you could just set them up the screen accurate way

No clear tubing running though my split loom. I have all my wiring from my gun and a piece of framing wire attached to both my mother board and my gun so the gun can never move too far away from the pack to do damage to the wiring or split loom. Works really well.

This is what I’ll be doing:

I added some red lighting gel, like the real deal. I’ll be placing dollar store mini funnels covered in aluminum foil to help contain the lights emitted by the LEDs without contaminating the adjacent area. LEDs will be placed at the smaller end of the funnel.
