Four university students. Sounds like a blast
Not bad. I do like the idea of them challenging the new concept of the recent science discoveries, with the particle accelerator and a chance of a possible other-dimensional threat.
What students have time to complete school AND be Ghostbusters?

I’m really not against a new team of university students. With the right script and actors it could be pretty decent. I don’t remember if he specified that the new team was from the university or that they just had to deal with a problem the research from the university was working on. For all we know, the team could be completely separate.
Kylie would work in GB3.
For some reason the plot behind “Howard the Duck” popped in after reading that. I think that’s the only way how my brain could piece it together.
