Jmuhobo, yep, it should fit “in theory.” I don’t know much about Alkaline’s shells, but I’ll take Vince’s word for it that it followed Stefan’s plans. I did the same with my shell mold, so it should fit, but can’t guarantee 100%. Roopjm above said my shell fits his MMM board pretty well, and the MMM boards are made to Stefan’s plans too I believe.

If I had been around when you were shell shopping, you might have just bought one and not made a mold and not be selling your great shells today. It’s like the Joker creating Batman, er… or something like that.

Holy ■■■■ dude, I’m so sorry. I did see your earlier post, and must have been in a hurry and was going to reply to it later, and then forgot.
The O.D. is accurate to Stefan’s plans. It was machined to 2.75." I just put a digital caliper on one of the pulls, and it read 2.736." – pretty normal considering some light sanding during painting of the buck. Would the metal one you’re considering be more “accurate?”
I believe it has come to light that 3 inch O.D. is accurate.
I believe this can be something I could upgrade myself. I have done it to my Alkaline shell I currently have. Vinny lists the accurate sizes in his DIY metal guide.
I think your shell is beautiful and obviously accurate for what was then known. I think if you did modify this O.D. on any future mold (if you ever re-make the mold), it would be worth upgrading and definitely increase the demand for your shells. Although they are beautiful now, to begin with!!

Lots of options for making beautiful props lately..
First off, Awesome shells! Since I’m newly registered to the boards here, although I have been wandering them for two years now, I do not have the ability to send pm. However, I work for Northeast Pennsylvania’s Number One Radio Station Froggy 101, if you have ever watched the show, The Office, we are the station with the bumper sticker on Dwights Filing Cabinet.
Anyway, every year I go out at local events/charities as a Ghostbuster, complete with my proton pack, which always seems to get impressive looks from people, but I think it is no where what it should look like. So I have been thinking its time to upgrade to a shell finally.
When the time comes, I would def. be purchasing one of you shells, but my main question was, when I do buy one and get in the mail, would you be willing to do an interview with us? We think it would be a great break for our show, plus you can tell us the process, what it takes, and we can send people to your business if you want.
