hey everyone just want to know what your favorite ecto is and why
Ecto-1 is beautiful as this clean vehicle that is dominated by three main colors, red, white, and blue (I suppose the yellow is in there, too).
The 1A has so much more gear on it, and looks MUCH more like a vehicle used to advertise a small business.
I tried to emulate both in my replica, hopefully I pulled it off.

ecto-1 hands down. the original is always the best. it set the standard. the siren is my favorite part of the ecto. its very distinctive. no other car has it, so when u hear it you know its the ghostbusters!
i think ecto 1 is awesome cause it was the first ecto i ever saw as a kid.i like that it has all these awesome gadgets in it.i also love ecto 1a cause of all its gadgets also and it looks pretty sweet just like the original
I like them both… but i´m going to buy the metal cast from the ecto 1-A,
I think they both look so cool that i was totally disapointed when they didn´t use it at all in the film !!! (to catch or detect ghosts)

I always loved the original far more. I think the 1A has too much clutter on it. I preferred the blue lights as well. I don’t even know why they wanted to change it as much as they did for the second movie.
i concur…the ecto 1a was a little too cluttered…i didnt mind the advertisement but the yellow lights made me think more of a coned vehicle than the ghostbusters the ecto-1 was better…like someone earlier sed…“it was original”…
They both have a their own good but I’d have to go with the ecto-1 cause I like the simplistic paint job,
Other than that, maybe I’ll go with the new ecto 1. It’s a good mix of 1 and 1a. You can see what i’m talking about in the new ghostbusters game.

I’d like the 1A with the original logo, so I’m undecided.
I very much prefer the Ecto-1B…or in other words, the Ectomobile they are using in the new Ghostbusters video game. I always thought the equipment on the top of the Ecto-1A was too much. It was so much that your eyes were immediately drawn to the equipment and not the car itself. The Ecto-1B seems to have taken the best from both. It’s equipment has been scaled down to the original amount and it retains the yellow and black caution strips from the Ecto-1A. And, most importantly, it uses the original (and BEST) logo on the doors.
Oh, and no car, not even the Ecto-1A, needs that many flashing lights. The Ghostbusters want to catch ghosts, not give them seizures.
As someone has already said the original is always the best, now for me dont get me wrong Ecto-1 is one heck of a cool looking car, this was the car that made me like the style of the American cars from the 50s/60s from such a young age but i gotta go with the Ecto-1A here, when i first saw GB2 i was in awe of this fantastic machine with added details on the paintwork & with a roof full of flashing lights & signboards!
As a child at around 11 years of age this car was “it” for me & still is
One day i gotta go have a look at the 2 cars in person, this would be a dream come true
The one thing i didnt like on the Ecto-1A was the no ghost logo on the bonnet, but apart from that i love it
I’m just in love with the Ecto-1A.
I know it’s cluttered, but for me that’s what makes it distinctive. Also the stripes are really cool. And the best part is the lights and marquee bar. Beautiful. Don’t get me wrong, the Ecto-1 is definitely cool, but for me the Ecto-1A takes the cake. 
lol I know it’s pretty ironic that my avatar is of the Ecto-1… but hey, it was the only one I could find!
im going to have to agree with shervinator, Ecto-1a is awsome looking. Love the marquee signs on it. Makes me think if they can put all that stuff on the car then they must be making more than “petty cash” now.

Ecto-1 hands down, no contest,im not a fan of the caution tape,hate it, but thats just me,love the 84’ verison best.
I’m going to have to go with the Ecto-1B from the game. It’s got the classic 1st Ecto look and the red and blue sirens, basic logo, and the original roof rack, but it’s also got the dish and warning stripes that were my favorite parts of the 1A. It’s the perfect balance of both.
