the handles that lead to the gun body are lacking those fake welds. I’d like to add them for accuracy as well as stronger bonding. any ideas as to what I should use? or even a proper method?
You can use a product called apoxy scult made by Aves, you can purchase it from Sculpture Supply in Toronto.

It may also be available at some craft stores. You can also use hot glue or bondo.

Yep, epoxy putty with a little water and the end of a paintbrush it what I use. I use 3 or 8 minute plumbers epoxy putty. You can get it at Home depot pretty cheap.
That will work too, is it paintable?
Plumbers epoxy is the way to go.. you can string it out like play doh and wrap it around the handles then notch welds into them with a coin and watch it set strong
I always use milliput and a thin rounded popsicle stick dipped in water to press in the “fallen stack of coins” weld pattern 
Exactly what I used.
I still stand by my method:
Hot glue worked great for me… and it’s very easy to replicate the exact look by moving the glue gun with the same motion you would a welding wire.
I used epoxy putty and a tooth pick… came out pretty good for my first go round.
