I’m working on my base and need some suggestions for making fake welds. There’s a thread in here somewhere, but I can’t find it anymore. Any help or direction is appreciated!

Edited it, seem working now..
A method I’ve used that is more for appearances than structure is to take a 2-part epoxy putty (my favorite is Magic Sculpt; you can get a big tub of each component for pretty cheap, and it’s strong as hell), roll it into a long thin line, then tear small bits off and roll them into little dots. Apply the dots along the line where the weld should go, taking care to smoosh one end of the ball a bit so the next ball has a place to overlap. That way you get something that looks like this:
I’ve just used epoxie, waited for it to jell up and then teased it with a popsicle stick works good.
I’ve used simply a hot glue gun. Squeeze out a dot, edge it back, squeeze out another that slightly overlaps, repeat.
I used plumbers epoxy putty. Its like three bucks for a tube and dries like stone in 3 to 5 minutes. I’ve even used in place of bondo spot putty in some spots because of how strong it is!
Here it is on my injector tubes
