Quick, if simple question.
How much fiberglass and resin would I need for the major parts of the pack, and how much smooth-on or similar material would I need for the other parts to include the wand?
Is this to make a mold and then pull a single shell or just to pull a shell from an existing mold?

wondering how much material is normally used. for example, how far would a gallon of smooth on get me? vs. fiberglass?
I’ve reinforced a styrene shell with a double coat of fiberglass using less than half a quart of resin. I’d think a quart would be plenty to build a decently thick pack shell. For thrower casting you’d probably need less than half a liter of resin but I’ve never done it so I’m guessing. :whatever:

I was thinking of using FGmat instead of like 12 oz, but thinking I might use 12 or 16oz in the smaller detailed places.
obviously the smaller parts can’t be FG’d. any recommendations for those?
Who made the mold? If you have an existing mold shouldn’t the mold maker know what is required?
I don’t know. I’m going to be using someone elses. From what I understand they were purchased from someone else a while back before my time.
