Hey… Im considering offering some Fibreglass shells, just wondering how much silicone people have used when making their own? I was thinking maybe brush on 1L then thixo about 4-5L to thicken it up? Or am I way out?
Looking for anyone who’s done one really, as I dont wanna over throw or cut short.

I hear 5 gallons thrown around a lot.. which is about 19 liters… so yeah… you’d be off by a little.

Yep, about 5 gallons to make a decent quality mold, trying to cut corners and you will almost certainly create a mold that is too thin and fails pretty quick…
Also don’t forget you need to lay up a support mold in fiberglass or plaster in addition to that…
Now you might not use all 5 gallons, but you will use the majority of it and any left over buffer is a good idea at that point 
And I will add that it’s almost always a one shot deal, if something goes wrong it’s almost always a total lose for the mold, in most cases the buck you were molding gets destroyed as well…
The pack is huge, don’t expect a cheap mould.
In addition to all that silicone, you most likely will add a fiberglass mothermould to help with strenght…
