Going tomorrow to the hardware store to get my allen head bolts for the 3.0. Gunna see what I can find.
I hear ya! I just built my Throwing Chicken 3.0. I had to be very patient. 
I’m trying to take what I’ve read from yours and everyone else’s threads to get as accurate as I can so I might need to replaces one or two down the road.
Got my LC2 frame today, going to try to upgrade to the correct GB1 straps in the future but right now I like it.
That’s great! I got my frame off of the GBFans Web Store. I find you have to ■■■■■■ that suff up when you need it Otherwise you can miss out. Thanks. I am no expert on my build but it has helped a lot coming on the forums and using the search feature. One of the items I got was Magic Sculpt. That stuff is great to use on TC’s resin body. I’s like putty that dries hard as resin and you can sand it. So if you need to do some small MODs it helps. LOL, or maybe you messed up. It helps. I just need to be patient. I always wanna rush and rush. The bad thing about rushing is that you will get a sloppy product.
Trying to take my time for sure and find as many tips as I can. Did alot of searching last night on bar graph info and the inserts. I havent yet gotten a shell so most of my time would be spent on my 3.0 right now.
Some pieces that came with it are a resin cast and I am probably going to replace them with aluminum versions, like to collar, trigger tip, and knobs. Also looking to get ALL real fittings.
Tell me if you come across the a good way to do the bar graph info and inserts. I have only found one person that had it on here and they took a vent from a computer and trimmed it into a insert. Otherwise I am having no luck unless I was to order it from someone.
AS for the aluminum trigger tip and Banjos I got off of the GBfans store.The side knobs from MMM but he is out now on those. MMM also has other aluminum parts for your pack.

I e-mailed him directly and he was able to hook me up. His return times vary on how much work he has. He does great work but unfortunately he does such good work that he is in high demand and cranks out aluminum throwers constantly.
Then I have a real clipard valve. Those small real details on the thrower are what makes it stand out.
From what i found some people like and others dislike using the side of a cd case, kinda want to try it for myself. I also found this from R2DEVO
I think im going to try one of those options from R2DEVO.
I also have 2 real clippard valves for my build but they are both 701 series and I actually have some extras. I also have a black raytheon style knob and a spare one of those as well. Again down the road going to switch out for a gray one or just paint the spare gray sense they arent real raytheon knobs.

I would still have to use the side of a CD case for it. It actually does a great job defusing the LED’s. You have to be careful on which side you use, flip it one way or the other gives you a different effect. It makes it look like Centimeter lines scrolling up and down.
I got my grey knob off of the GB fans store. What is nice is it has a set screw on it so you can attach it to a real potentiometer. So I was going to use the actual crank knob as my volume control.

I was able to find a Vintage LC1 pack and strap to replace the newer model I had picked up a while back.
Got the white hat lights placed as well as the orange on the thrower.
Looking good, it is coming together!
Dry fitting my aluminum knobs with some pieces I just picked up at the hardware store.
I just need to pick up for more smalled bolts for the grips
I was trying to match what I was seeing in reference pictures from profiles in history shots. The big side knob by the fins in one shot close up didn’t have a bolt through it but I personally like how it looks with the bolt.
Those aluminum knobs are nice.. I really want a set now. Just cant find them!
Michael Clifton - what did you do to get the worn look to the grips. I was thinking just layers of paint ( brown then black) the an abrasive to take some black off to show the brown.
Picked up some JB weld epoxy putty to make up some welds today. I found it worked the best for me to make a good looking bead of weld if I used a paper clip to get the round edges. For the first try I like the way it turned out.
Currently waiting for my paint to dry on my throwing chicken 3.0. IM layering the paint on the grips to get the wear that I want. Im going to do a coat of brown them black over it. Hopefully I can get a good wear pattern to expose the brown along with some black still remaining. Ill post pictures here in a little bit.
I think the welds came out nicely
pretty happy how the wear came out on the back grip. I used fine steel wool the mask the grip then sprayed over it. I haven’t perfected it yet so theres alittle wool in the paint, going to try and fix that on the front grip.
The welds don’t look too bad at all…I have discovered while building my pack that I suck at making fake welds…I’m getting close to putting my thrower together and really need to practice this technique before I ruin a perfectly good TC V3 thrower kit
