So with the second job I got a bit of a pay bump and while I finish out my 2 weeks at my current job I’m taking in enough extra money to spoil myself. So I splurged on a gbfans hero shell and mobo and will be transferring alot of my parts to that pack. However that is another build for another thread. I’ve put enough into this SC build to keep plugging away at it. So you’ll see more scratch parts as this will become my “stunt” pack and a pack for my gf to wear. (She did her first GB event last night as we did the ceremonial puck drop at a local hockey game for their comic con night.) Expect some updates this week as I will have some free time because today is my last day working 2 jobs.

Step 1 was mounting the Dixie cup v hook I had lying around. I kept a spare since the Spengler hook is going to the gbfans shell.
Here is the hanger bolt mounted into the filler tube. Drilled in to the dowel with a 1/4 bit and screwed in the bolt manually with pliers.
Here it is mounted, secured with a bolt and washer on the bottom. The bondo top had been sanded smooth. This will be the first piece to hit the paint stage.
And the cut of the booster tube. I had to use a ruler and the shell to measure the angle. It was slightly off.
. I sanded and dremeled till it was close enough fake welds would fill the gaps.

That and definitely adds some weight.
Next up is the beam line, finishing the cyclotron plates and mounting the booster tube.
