(Shot of the moon and pans down to a run down old farm in upstate New York)
(Four teenage kids are walking through the farm as they are talking)
Punk One: Rumor is that Old Man Stantz used to be involved in the occult.
Punk Two: Like ghosts and ■■■■? (Insert name here), you should know something about that!
Punk Three: For the millionth time, I’m not a witch!
(Punk Two turns his flashlight to a picketed fence with barbed wire on top and a large metal door. Door has a beware of dogs sign, but dogs is crossed out and GHOSTS is spraypainted under it.)
Punk Three: Well, what are you waiting for? Break in!
(Punk two steps back and rams the door and busts through)
(Camera goes up in Punk Two’s perspectine (as the GB theme starts up) showing a large white rusted car door with a ‘No Ghost’ Logo on it, as it fades into the title card)
Whaddya think? And yes, this is based on that diorama of the Ecto-1 on Ebay currently.
Interesting for sure as far as your intro idea, however I have to say I expected a little more. You sort of build it up to really nothing. The simple car door of the Ecto can be enthrawling to see on the big screen by a cinema hingry GB fan, however otherwise you really need to be playing on a similar thrill and shock factor displayed in the intro of the first two films. Also it’s a little short. You have to conisder that one full page of a script ROUGHLY amount to about a minute of film.
I almost thought you were going to do something like the intro to Casper…haha.
After a big Snafu in the 90’s, the entire franchise shut down (something about bringing hell to earth or something), so Ray moved to a farm in upstate.
I always thought it’d be funny to recreate the beginning of thriller with MJ. He would be older of course and walk with a woman threw central park and a full moon would turn him into a massive werewolf. Then the song starts and the title comes in like always. (Of course he’s gone now and that can’t be done.) My idea for the film would be that it turns out he wasa ghost trying to live as a human by possesing someones body. For the first time the Ghostbusters encounter an ethical delima. Should they be trapping all ghost and do some who don’t haunt be allowed to live among us. All the while the ghostbusters have to become the moderaters between the public scared of being possessed by ghost and the ghosts who want to live their own afterlives in peace.
Given, there was an equivalent to the RGB-cartoons in the GB-Universe itself, which was produced by Venkman, the starting sequence could be a RGB-cartoon remake of the final battle with Gozer from Ghostbusters I.
During the battle, the camera changes position, so you can see it is watched by managers of colombia pictures on a cinematic projector. Venkman is with them. When the battle reaches the point, where they cross the streams, the CEO shouts: “STOP! Stop that!”. … Then the CEO struggles against Venkman, saying it was selfcontradictional, because “in sequence 4.2 Egon says, I quote wordly, ’ It’s hard to explain, but try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and finding yourself confined forever in another dimension.'” - Finally, the CEO announces, the Series will be cancelled (“Nobody wants to see this old sh*t”) and fires Venkman.
Peter, now “liberated” from his artistical career, then returns to the Ghostbusters, begging Egon for a job.
Synapsis is something that happens during meiosis, the word you’re after is synopsis.
An alright start, although like others, not too keen on the opening scene showing Ecto-1 run down and rusty, it actually kinda sounds like the opening to a new TV series.
As this is more akin to fan fiction, that probably would’ve been the best section to post it in.
I would’ve added this to my original post, but by the time I’d thought it the editing window was gone. Not keen on the three punks being the new Ghostbusters, they’re introduced straight away before the threat is established, and their origin seems too similar to that of the Extreme Ghostbusters.
I think you have the right idea however it would be more true to the series to have the kids chased or chasing by a ghost(s), kindda like the librarian in the first film or the runnaway carriage in the second film, heck even running into the GBs themselves would be good
Extreme Ghostbusters should have been a movie. It should be based on the cartoon and the should be a GB3 logo patch but keep Ecto-1C with the original logo.
While I was looking at my mattel ghosbusters I had a day dream about a first half hour of GB3!!!
Something like this!
The movie begins with a regular family in some house in New york.During a family dinner a ghost appears and freaks the family out.
Then we have a shot from a very dusty desk with a old phone ringing in a very poorly lighted firehouse and fans can recognize its’s Jeanine’s desk.
Next we see an old man stumbling to the phone and it’s Ray who says very confused :“Ghostbusters?”
Title comes up: Ghostbusters with a roman 3 (III) in the background.then we see a normal car stopping at that house and the family asks him if he really is a ghostbuster.
Ray tries to do the job but fails and the ghost flees with laughter.
Then we see a shot of Egon in some cool science lab in Geneve and his mobile phone rings.Ray says it’s happening again and needs Egons help, with little hesitation he decides to help.
Then a shot of Peter who is CEO of a tv channel.(like in scrooged) he also got a call from ray but peter says no after a lecture to ray about saving the city twice and getting screwed by the city twice.Ray and Egon convince him to do it because it can be a great show on tv.
Peter give enough money to restore equipment and ecto 1, and there they go for a job…
Because they are old and not fit they fail again and by stupid mistake kills Peter.
At the funeral Dana said that Oscar is actually from peter and this sad scene turns hilarious because Peter comes back as a ghost after he heard it from the afterlife.
The guys including winston decide to train new guys and where it goes from there I don’t know?
