Hey all -
I was trying to find if this issue came up in other posts but I did not see it.
I have Spongeface’s Life Size Spirit Pack Lights upgrade kit, the GBFans Packblaster and GBFans wand light kit all hooked up. I have the dip switches set for the video game mode (#5 and 6 on the Packblaster board, #1 and 2 and 6 on the wand board).
Lights and sounds all seem to be working correctly otherwise, but when I use the Ear Pushbutton to switch between TVG modes, there is a very long delay in the sequence before I can actually start firing. Specifically, whenever I am switching between Proton Stream to Boson Dart, from Slime Blower to Slime Tether, Stasis Stream to Shock Blast, and Overload Pulse to Meson Collider. When I switch between, say, Boson Dart to Slime Tether, or basically any switch between modes that would change the cyclotron lights, the change is immediate. I have the Vent Light switch OFF in order to access TVG modes.
Anyone else come across this issue? Is this a limitation of the board and its working as intended, or something wrong?

If you have to you could always contact spongeface directly either GBfans or email. It doesn’t sound like it’s operating correctly but I had an extremely hard time learning that you have to fast tap the button to switch TVG fire modes I’m sure that’s not the problem your having. Also Post pictures of how you have it all connected it helps get a response if others can see just what your talking about.
Yeah spongeface got back to me that it was just how the board works, which is not at all a problem i just have to wait for the sound board to catch up to the wand lights.
That’s one thing I noticed about my board, there is no quick-clicking to switch between modes, you only click the ear push button to cycle between each mode.
Here is what my setup looks like anyway though. I was pretty sure it’s all plugged in right and I re-plugged everything just to make sure the connection was good.
Ok I really thought it was different from the regular spongeface pack boards but the only difference in the pack lights. So this delay may just be the time it takes to play each sound file. I have replaced some of mine like I’ve added random music clips that play instead of the interactive ghost clips it comes with. Point is you could always backup a copy of all sounds, take the sounds from TVG and edit them in audio city on your computer and speed them up. Or like I did I made a stream SFX that’s 10min long for a more GB1 style pack.
Oh is that all it might take? I’ve actually been meaning to get an SD reader for my Switch for awhile, this works out! Thanks for the advice, I’m going to give that a try.
Just remember to keep the file names the same for whatever you change on the SD card or it won’t be able to play the files.
