Knobs> Kustom Amplifier - Surplus for the front knobs
Knobs> Miscellaneous - The silver knurled knob?
I’ve been using Venkman 71’s plans (page 24 and page 25) to verify accuracy of measurement with these knobs. Again, they might not be the exact, but they are pretty darn close.
Well, I’m ordering a few just to verify accuracy of the parts. If the parts check out, I’ll order a bulk amount and go easy on the shipping charge for our northern brothers.
Just so everyone knows those are my parts he’s comparing them to and I’ve expressed my view to him. would have been nice to have been asked first.
Irri, aren’t you honored to be considered as “the” knob replica supplier for ghost traps? he mentioned its knobs he got on ebay- its not like he’s using your images, he’s using stuff he bought for a comparison. I don’t think there was any bad intentions, might not even know you’re that ebay seller.
borzou99, as I mentioned, I’m definitely in for a set.
You mean the black knobs? Are they the accurate ones?
For the record, Irricanian’s resin parts are awesome. When I first got them, I was floored by the accuracy of all his trap parts (vector place, resistors, knobs). In fact, I liked his parts so much, I’ve decided to save them for a better trap that I’m building later this month instead of the foam boad trap I made last Halloween. I personally vouch for Irri’s resin parts. The reason I used his parts for comparison is because I thought the knobs I bought from the guitar shop might be inaccurate. I’m really sorry about the pictures.
When you say a set, do you mean just the two black knobs?
I do know know anything about the silver knob. Come to think of it, I don’t know why I bought it. I think they might be GB 1 style knobs, just in a silver coloring. I only hope a higher geek than thou art can educate me in light of my ignorance.
 Sorry if I came off as being defensive, my sincere apologies borzou99. I just get a little protective of my business interests. This is one of my full time jobs. Gotta stop reading posts before my morning coffee
I’d be in for 2 black and one silver. I need a metal knob and while the silver is less then accurate, I think its a good addition - anodized aluminium is not as easy to replicate then black bakelite or plastic… the bad knurling but proper material would be close ennough for me.
