I’ve stummbled across a real gem. I think this is the shooting script for the first Ghostbusters movie. I downloaded it form a collection of scripts on Demonoid.com. It has details about early versions that it takes a real geek to know, things like the original ecto-1 design, the proton beems forming a box to trap Slimer, the bums in the park, and Gozzer ariving in the form of Shandor. A lot of the lines are different, but Harold Ramis did say that a lot of lines were improved on the DVD comentary. If it is a fake, it’s a well crafted one. Yeah, that’s been around for awhile now. I think I printed that out about 10 years ago. I find it interesting, myself, and as far as I know it’s real. It should be stated that no script is ever “final”…changes get made constantly (especially with those SNL/SCTV types)
I think it goes to show how much movies change from script to screen! The later versions of the script are pretty different to the film as well.
