this is something we are working on here at the RGV GHOSTBUSTERS. This is obviously Photoshop but we do have the truck and this is what we are going to do for starters…what do you all think???

Not bad. Needs more gear, but great concept.
yes… this is just the base of the project… lights and a camper with a roll away for the packs is also whats coming… as the project progresses i will post more pics.
seriously? no. just no.
lol…live a little…not everything has to be movie accurate. it wont be a half-ass approached project. oh and by the way since you are in no way funding this… yeah its gonna happen.
Build away my friend. Make it your own. No not every build has to be movie accurate. My ecto is far from movie accurate. Have fun creating it and be proud of what u build. There are a lot of nice ppl inherent but there is also others that won’t be happy unless its movie accurate. Not all of us fans have the time or money to put into these projects. I would like to see more progress pics of this.
Okay, no problem what would you suggest?

Ignore Wharin, he’s against anything that isn’t a cadillac pro car. Damn purists ![]()
I’d go with a door logo that was movie accurate. Save the custom logos for the tailgate or something. Since a pickup is so far from a hearse, you need to really push the movie-accurate decals for it to be recognizable. With the logo you have, it’ll look like Texas lake patrol or a Dallas city crew member. People recognize that classic logo instantly.
You’ll also get tired of the ‘are you a storm chaser?’ thing REAL fast. Keep that logo classic, big, and shove it down their throats.
I’d put your franchise logo on one side of the tailgate, and a classic logo on the other side.
Thanks texasbuster… I think you are right. Will definitely use classic logo. The caution tape wont be so thick either.
Are you going with the Home depot reflective tape or custom vinyl?
Custop vynl we know a guy who does car wraps..he is gonna hook us up
Do you have a camper top for it?
Not yet but shouldnt be to hard to find
Check around craigslist for one.
Man! That is a slick 78 GMC I’m restoring a 87 GMC. Is that a actual picture of your truck? It’s gonna make a slick Ecto Truck!
Its just a photo shop we want it to look like that when its done… with a camper to give it a wagon look..should look sick when its done. Right now truck is getting a tune up before the painting starts
Well here us an update… Almost done. Any recommendations?https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=446371525523876&id=100004530971706&set=a.105433256284373.11810.100004530971706&ref=m_notif¬if_t=photo_comment
That’s a cool truck, yeah.
Throw a toolbox back there and build your rack components onto it, maybe?
