Not a bad job with the thrower effects. I’m guessing they were projectings the streams and Gozer’s energy blasts as well as the transparent ghosts on to a mostly clear shroud between the audience and the stage.

Man, what I wouldn’t give for a time machine, right now. That was actually really enjoyable. I would easily pay to go to the park, just to see that. The quality of the effects were really well done considering the way that they were accomplished. I had planned something similar for a talent show when I was in high school (though my idea was much lower tech using fog machines), but couldn’t get anyone else to do it with me.
Or they were demonstrating a fully functional nuclear accelerating positron collider and using real ghosts … that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

that’s so awesome.. Wish there was a proper rip of that franchise commercial that plays on the TVs, that would be amazing to have!
That’s awesome, I actually pulled this off for a local Richmond, VA band some time back during a Halloween show. They wanted the Ghostbusters to show up, and I went the extra mile and planned a whole show, stagging a bust as the band played. The fog machine idea works ok, but you have to have A LOT of fog. Wish I had vids.
