Probably has, but it would be a bit expensive and hard to do. You know the real slime blowers were fed by a hose that was mostly edited out of the film right? Not only that, if you hosed someone I doubt they’d feel like a million bucks after. Well no, I take that back, they’d feel like a million bucks, sueing it outta the guy who slimed em.

Do you have any idea how much a tank full of slime is going to way? In order to do it, you’d have to use full metal tanks. Go try and lift a tank of helium. Now try to imagine strapping three of those to your back, plus some. You’d never be able to stand with that strapped on. No one could balance with that much weight on their back.
Also the expense would far outway any fun you’d have doing it.
It’s just not worth it. You could, in theory, make a working one. But you’d never be able to use it.

I never saw the he-man ghostbuster, was he always out of shot? That or Hulk Hogan. It would be hard to produce the right kind of blower tip at the gun to handle compressed CO2 as well as the thick slime. The reason it worked in the movie was it was slime pumped in through a hose with air and slime, at very high pressure. A real slime blower would weigh approximately 500 pounds.

Yeah, you all know I was joking, right? I’m well aware that the slime blowers would be EXTREMELY heavy.
One guy said he wanted to make a slime blower that shot water, which if you set it up to have a super soaker with like a 1 or 2 gallon tank inside would work pretty effectively. Either that or set up the gun to have silly string in it. So far as in being real ghostbusters. I dunno about the busting part but I am a real investigator. Somehow I think the whole proton stream would be a little out of my range of mechanical knowledge. Proton pack.. High tech Sh*t!
I wasnt meaning it literally when I said the Real Ghostbusters, it was a joke, I dont want this thread to go out of control talking about the possibility of making a real slimeblower or proton pack, lol
Why not? :lol: There was an article in the San Fransisco Cronicle (I think that was the paper) on Halloween. It had a huge main poster picture from GB2. The article talked about real paranormal investigation… It touched for a second on the Ghostbusters and said that in order to throw a proton beam, the equipment would have to be so big, it would need to be carried on a trailer. And even if it could be carried on your back, the radiation would cause about every type of cancer known to man… That being said, it was stilll a pretty cool article. 
Either that or the pack would have to be built out of a thick lead, then it’d be heavy to the point of “Hey toss me my pack” SPLAT Lol. Instant height reduction.
if you notice the slime blower were lift by the big guys ( ray and winston) you never saw egon with one !!!
