Hanging from the belt...

I looked around and didn’t see a topic. Any one have any idea how Ray attached the goggles from his belt if it was the strap from one of the keyrings or some other kinda way? Or how do you guys do it if at all? That seemed like a reasonable answer. I couldn’t find a picture that gave much away. BTW, anyone notice Ray has everything on his belt? haha that had to be so uncomfortable. One scene I really noticed was GB2 before they decide to use the Statue of Liberty. He had I imagine the belt circuit, the trap, the goggles and the particle thrower from his belt. haha good ol Dan Aykroyd and his love of GB hardware…

Seems like there was a shot in Ghostbusters II where the goggles were hung from the trap handle.

I think I seem to remember that now. :walterpeck: That it wasn’t hanging as low as it would if you had it in one of the chains. That’d probably end up disastrous as well. Maybe I saw it in the hotel when they first walk in too. Guess it’s time to make a trap then.. :lol:

I watched the movie and with it flapping around it was a little hard to tell. An interesting thing, I never thought about it but I guess you can tell where they cut out the Ray looking at the slime wall with the Ecto Goggles. After they fire at the museum they’re right back at the car… :smiley:

I think the goggles are the only thing they can be. If I am not mistaken, Aren’t they hanging on his belt in the “suck in your guts, we’re the ghostbusters” scene?

Ah the good ol reference section. Well yeah there it is, I guess hanging from the trap handle. In the “pull 'em” scene I wonder if it’s the goggles hanging down that far on the belt? Ya think? It looked weird like its something else! It surely can’t be the belt circuit. That is visible in this shot.

This is just the first time I ever noticed something hanging down that far on his belt.

I guess it is the goggles hanging from the headstrap. From that odd angle, it looks weird. Thanks to all who replied, anyone else have any thoughts/comments? I just feel weird about it thinking it could be something simple and it’s just hard to tell.

I guess I just need to watch it again. :smiley:

EDIT: Well watched it. Still don’t know what it is. You can see it when Ray is talking about how bad things have gotten in New York by Ecto-1A

Yeah, they’re over the trap, just wonderin whats hanging from Ray’s belt in the shooting the museum scene… :smiley:

An idea for hanging the goggles from the belt that I just came up with before I head out for the night is one key chain belt loop (the black ones) and a name tag clip. I slipped the name tag clip through the key holder and the clip holds the goggles from the lipped edge pretty firmly.

Thats the sound level meter that Egon uses later on when they are fighting Vigo.

Yeah, if you look close you can see the silver thing thats on top of it sticking up.

Doesn’t Ray have that microphone thingy that he points to Vigo when he goes into his trance? Is it possible its that?

The goggles are on Ray’s belt at the Temple scenes at the end of the 1st movie. They appear to be on a belt hook. I put mine either on my trap handle, radio holster, or lifguard device.
