Our break is over, and it’s time to dust off the soldering irons properly. We will be handling orders a bit differently this year, to help things flow easier, and to streamline the process for everyone:
Orders will be taken in batches of 10-25. Once a batch is completed, the next batch will begin shortly after. (Forced breaks for us are a good thing!) Kits are now available and ready to order at will, we’re continuing to work hard to stay ahead of orders, instead of doing batch orders!
There will be a small amount of DIY from now on. Nothing major, and definitely no soldering/heat shrink on your end will be needed. The white connectors on the cables in the kits will now come un-stripped and un-crimped. It’s not really an especially time-consuming process when doing just one kit, but multiply by 20+ kits, and it’s hours and hours of crimping. The goal is to keep prices low, so instead of increasing prices to cover more expensive parts and shipping, we found ways to decrease the amount of time needed to finish each order on our end. DIY cables will make our kits much easier to set up specific lengths for each cable, so less extra length on your wand lights to have to cram in an already cramped area of the pack.

Crix - you’re using a RP Soundchip, right? So if I am in need of a complete custom sounds for a proton pack soundkit, I could buy yours and then just replace the chip with the customized one?
The RP chip is the same product as mine, but I don’t get them from him. If you need a custom sound or two, I can definitely do that for ya, and you won’t need to go wasting money on a second chip that won’t be used. If you’re 100% set on RP though, I can always sell the breakout board without the chip in it, and you can just plug his in.

Great - sign me up then for the Full Bundle! I’ll need to inform the girl whose proton pack I’m working on to get the funds ready, as well as gather the sounds up for the custom proton pack. All sounds are going to be custom though - as it’s the equivalent to Funk’s Hello Kitty Pack (working on a My Little Pony Pinkie Pie Proton Pack for a friend).
Hey Crix, since you can add custom sounds, would it be possibile to program more music in. No biggie of you can’t just wondering, as I love the music when the guys are just walkiong around the Hotel Room…its kindy a silly litle them but when you hear it, you know its ghostbusters. Thought it would be cool to have that playing in the background as well, instead of the ghostbusters song all the time. (not thats not cool too, but just wondering).

Hey i’ve just joined up and haven’t got around to introducing myself at the moment. Ive got one of your soundboards and would love it if you could put me down for you pack and wand kits please.
Changing the song isn’t an issue, but adding extra songs is where it gets tricky. The chip I use has space for a total of about 5 minutes of ‘audio’, and the general pack sounds end up taking about 1:30 of that on their own, which only leaves enough space for one song.
Otherwise, I’d be all for adding the whole soundtrack, it’s unfortunately just not feasible.
I haven’t tested it directly, but yes, they should be compatible. The GBFans sound board is triggered in the same way as my sound board is, and the switches and push buttons on my kits are kept ‘separate’ electronically, so yup, it should all work easily!
