I am wondering the whole sizes I should be drilling for these pieces? I plan to order them in a few weeks (fun money balance is zero), but really want to keep building the pack in the mean time and at least have space holders so I can fasten things like the ion arm.
The only other pack piece I am missing is the ribbon, and that won’t be a big deal to add last. I didn’t realize the brass fittings were going to be hard to find and relatively expensive.
It all depends on if you plan on threading each hole with a tap or are you just looking to drill a hole big stick them in. Also, if you are screwing into resin parts or aluminum material etc.. I would highly suggest taking the time to properly drill and tap holes for these parts but if you are limited on tools and/or are not interested in tapping each hole other careful steps can be taken.
The hose barbs and Ion arm L fitting have 10-32 threading. If you planned on tapping these it would be a 5/32" hole for the tap. Alternatively, drilling a 3/16" hole and screwing these in without tapping would work resin and other softer materials.
The Hex L fitting and Legris straights are both 1/8 thread (off of memory). Tapping these would require a “Q” or roughly 11/32" drill bit. You could also drill a 3/8" hole for these and gently screw these in if you have no plans on tapping each hole.
