I was looking into building a proton pack and was looking through the plans but I was a little confused on some of the drill bit sizes I’ll need. What size drill bit will I need for the Clippard Elbows, and the Legris Banjos, Elbows, and Straights? I looked in the store but I can’t tell the size, admittedly I’m not very handy but being a big fan I’m going to jump right in. I’m trying to make a master list of the tools and parts I need to order so I can price everything out.

It depends on the materials that you are using. If you have an aluminum ion arm a 21/64 drill bit and a 1/8-27 NPT tap should do the trick for the elbow and top Clippard hex. If you’re using a resin arm, it easiest to just drill a smaller hole first and the Dremel the hole until it’s big enough to fit the elbow or top Clippard (the top Clippards depend on the pack version you’ve decided to build). The same goes for fiberglass shell - start with a smaller hole and then Dremel it out to fit the straights and single elbow. This method will save you a lot of grief.
The banjos I can’t comment on off the top of my head because everything I have is aluminum so it was all pre-drilled.
Good luck with your build! Take your time and do it right and be prepared to drop some cash on the tools you’ll need if you don’t already have them or somehow have access to them.
Fibreglass does take threads fairly well if you’re careful and depending on the type of resin the resin parts are made of, they take threading nicely! :mrgreen:
