Is it just me or does it really bug the Hell outta anyone else when you see the GB patch/logo whatever backwards?
Also horrid knock-off patches too…
Who in their right minds would buy that? The Ghost looks like he’s just ■■■■■■ and is slightly embarresed…
Anyway, rant over, just had to get that out my system to others who’d know what I was on about lol
it doesnt bother me being in the USA about the “backwards logo”, thats how i know it. when i see it the other way i bugs me.

As for the backwards logo, I really like it, adds some new flair to it. I also think that any logo that is fan made is ok, as long as it’s near the original or not too horrid. The one you posted looks alright if you made it for a purpose, besides as long as it has the No-sign and a ghosts, anyone would call you a Ghostbuster.

He’s from Scotland, so he’s used to the logo facing the other way, perhaps?
Also, the logo design is fine, but the patch does look a little chubby.

And as for backward logos, it’s not that I’m from the UK or anything, some official DVD covers and posters have the No Ghost sign like this…

All foreign releases have the logo backwards because it looks more proper over there. The US stuff always has the logo as it appears in the GBFans logo on the top of the page.
I’m not so sure, the special edlition I have, the multiple VHS tape that all got worn out to death all had the logo the “correct” way. It’s only within the last few years the backward one seems to be popping up everywhere.

This is the “correct” version of the no ghost logo, as featured on all United States products (merchandise, movie covers) and is how the logo is seen in the film (arm patches, firehouse door, Ecto-1; aside from one reversed montage scene).
“Backwards” logo used in most over seas merchandising. The logo was reversed as the Eruopeans originated the “no” logo (circle with the slash) is this form, and artist on the movie didn’t want to the logo to feel alien to them.
Both are from a merchandise standpoint correct, however the first version is the official “in-movie” representation.
Both have been around since 1984.

Yeah, the second variation of what Dan posted is “backwards” to me. It’s maybe something to do with watching so much American Tv / movies as a kid.
Either that or it’s the Ghost itself looking to the right rather than the left that just looks off to me, just looked up the no smoking signs (UK and US) and the slash going in either direction looks fine…I blame the Ghost lol
