i just got after effects and does any one know how to make proton beams with it because i have no clue
anyone? :?:
Here ya go…
Dunno if you know or not but… that’s the tutorial for photoshop.
yeah i know does but does anyone know how to make a proton beam with after effects in a movie
Start with a black solid. You use the lightning filter. You change the amplitude so its more wobbly. Then change the colors to orange and yellow from blue and white. Then add another lightning filter over top of it. You can tweak it to personal taste. Also don’t for get to change it’s mode to screen to overlay it on your film.

Whoops, I didnt realize I posted the one for photoshop, my bad.
 Sometimes, shit happens.
Yeah, but someone has to deal with it, and who ya gonna call?
Ace,
I have made some sample movies in After Effects. The problem is that they are at home on my desktop. I could send you the file to take a look at but I don’t plan on going home for at least a month. Basically, what you do is:
-Use the Beam filter (changing colors to match the colors from the movie)
-Duplicate the layer a couple times, apply a Gaussian blur to each, and change their colors to match the blow on the beams.
-Now, apply the Wave filter to each layer so they move in the same way as each other.
-For the lightning, the easiest way is to use the filter provided in After Effects.
Now these are just guidelines. If you want to succeed with After Effects you need to use it a LOT. Try doing some lightsaber effects as well. Not only do they help improve your skill, but you can make some pretty cool movies. Hope this helps!
Cole,
I just got AE like 5 minutes ago and its damn hard
Well, nobody ever expected to master After Effects overnight.
