Ok does anybody know where that tutorial is for making a proton stream in a picture? I want to take a pic of me in uniform tomorrow and put in the effect but don’t remember how/where the tutorial is. Thanks guys.

I was never a fan of that tutorial. I’m thinking of making my own soon. Here is a pic of the one I made in Adobe After Effects, easy to do in Photoshop…

I like that one…the one in the tutorial by Ben is just a little…thick.
To make this one there are just a couple of steps to do…

Draw a straight white line

Manipulate it to be bendy and wavy or however you want it to look

Apply a Gaussian Blur to it.

Duplicate that layer about 4 times and for each layer, make it more and more blurry.

Change the colors of the beam so that they match the movie ones (inner core yellow, outer glow orangish red)

For the lightning, go here…
It’s a good way to show you how to make a lightning bolt. Put it over a black layer, then set that layer to screen mode.
This may sound confusing, but just mess around in Photoshop for a while and you’ll be able to make anything!
