How To Hang Your Thrower Back On Your Pack??

Hey everyone, last night was my third Halloween wearing my pack and I found myself always having to get my wife to hang the thrower back on my pack. Anybody out there have any better solutions as far as hooks go or some kind of trick to hang it back yourself without straining your neck to look back at it. I don’t really want to attach it to the belt, because it’s big and bulking.

I had an idea to use some of those powerful hard drive magnets on the bottom of the thrower and see if it would stick well enough to the metal mount on the pack to hold the thrower. Anyways, just thought I would throw it out there. Have a good night everyone!

There was a thread (possibly more than one) discussing this not too long ago… Maybe it was last year. Essentially most people use the buddy system. Try searching for it to see what others have done.

I mounted a s-hook on one of the discs of my guntrack, and I hang my thrower from one of my key fobs on my belt. Sure beats reholstering your thrower all day.

I had time to look for those threads I was talking about. Check them out:

I’m waiting on someone to find a way to raise the edges on the gun-track so that it can be guided in from a longer drawn. I’m currently using a flush mount bracket, so no hope for me.

Im surprised someone hasnt come up with a system using rare earth magnets as a way of guiding it into position

Not a suitable guarantee, regardless of strength a physical clip in my opinion will always outstrip a set of magnets.

Maybe a combination of the two? Magnets that would help get you onto physical rails but wouldn’t need to be strong enough to actually hold all the weight of the thrower. Probably much easier said that done though…
