I dont care if you do have some secret crush on Ryan French i still think he’s a weak personaility to have in the game but dont worry…When i do buy the game in June and am forced to play him …I’ll remember to hold my toungue cause YOU said so…
I haven’t posted in months… but it’s typical of a Site Moderator to force his OWN OPINIONS on someone else…
He isn’t forcing any opinion on you. He’s just pointing out that your insult on Ryan French was uncalled for, which in all fairness it was. Although, without realising it, you have gotten why he was chosen. It’s because he has average looks, a weak personality and he is just a guinnea pig for all the new stuff. He makes no decisions and is told what to do. Ryans looks and demenour fit the bill for the average guy. Thats why he was picked.
So you don’t feel as though you should buy the game because you are forced to play him? Well your games collection must be poor then. Do you not play Gears of War because you are forced to be Marcus? Tomb Raider as you are forced to play as a woman? Your logic doesn’t hold up. You play as the rookie because he is part of the story. Not you, not anyone else, but the character they chose to be the rookie. Like it or lump it and grow up ffs.
Dude i would buy this game even if i had to play the character model of Ronald Mcdonald as the fifth Ghostbuster lol
What i’m saying is that when i play Ryan French as the fifth ghostbuster ..i better not say anything bad about him or else his fanboys will start flaming me for uncalled comments

You are not forced to play him. Just don’t buy the game. If you want to play the game then you will be playing it as the Rookie who is modelled off Ryan French. So what?
How do you know he has low esteem? Nervous in front of a camera, yes he may be. Most people are when they aren’t used to doing live interviews. To abuse him because you are so obviously jealous he is the model for the part you play in the game smacks of immaturity. You either play as ‘Ryan’ or you don’t play the game. Simple… and in your own words, GET OVER IT.

I think French is the perfect kind of person to join the team. The original guys were all very average guys. With the exception of Egon’s intelligence and hair, that is. 
If they had put someone famous in there it would have just been distracting. Let’s say Seth Rogen since he’s been talked about so much for the 3rd film. It just wouldn’t work seeing Rogen in the cut scenes, imho.

I agree with mr peckers comments. He is perfect as he fits in with the group who weren’t exactly a bunch of social winners. Rookie is just another recruit to them until he proves himself to the original guys, who face it, have been around the ghost hunting block several times over. I also remember Ryan saying they wanted a typical corn fed, average looking american to play the part. And he fit the bill exactly.
I tried reading it, but couldn’t make it out. Anyone know what the new guy’s name tag says? I remember reading that they call him rookie, killer, etc…but does his name tag say something like that?
It just simply says ‘Rookie’. And through the game he is never reffered to by name, just as ‘Rook’ and ‘Killer’ etc.
If I’m remembering correctly, the nametag actually says “Rookie”, or atleast it did in an earlier screenshot.

Seeing him on camera, he seemed like a really honest average person, like us. one of the FANS. I’d rather him be working on the game and talking the way he was up there rather than a slick businessman trying to talk about(sell us) the GB game. :whatever:
And yes I believe he has the generic, average guy look they wanted.
Congratulations, you are only digging yourself a deeper hole by calling me a Ryan French fanboy and for that ultra-lame "you’ve got a ‘thing’ for this guy’ joke. This isn’t Fifth Grade.
To echo Lion’s comment, heed your own advice:
You may be bitter that he was chosen for the model, but he is the model and all the whining and whinging you make isn’t going to change the fact. The man hasn’t done anything to ■■■■ us off, yet you’re attacking him based on how he holds up in a game interview.
Despite being a producer, he might not have had too much TV experience prior to this… it could even have been his first, despite our increasingly invasive TV world there are still some people not completely used to a TV interview.
But you’ve taken his being selected way too personally, and by the looks of it, your accusations concening his “low self esteem and stuttering” will wind up being pretty baseless as a number of articles have suggested that the new equipment techie is going to be silent.
The fact he hasn’t been given a name thus far is part of the fact that you are the experimental equipment technician, you’re just wearing his face.
Of course, you could just settle for the Wii copy, the techie doesn’t look like Ryan French, and you can even be a woman if you want to. We won’t judge. 
Now, watch the attitude. If you’re gonna go below the belt with anyone who disagrees with you or takes issue with you then things are going to degrade pretty fast. I also recommend branching out from the Video Game forum… as it seems pretty much every single post you’ve made has been in that one forum.

Ryan French is the Rookie character because he is an everyman. Who did you want as the Rookie? Leonardo Dicaprio? Someone else to fantasize about? The fact that you think he is a douche bag because he was nervous during a TV interview is a rediculous arguement. You do understand that he won’t be inside your computer or Xbox while you play the game and be stammering at you (unless they felt it would be needed as a part of the game).
You have problems with others having an opinion that is different from your own.. and now you attack them very childishly. Play nice, or you won’t be around here much longer.
