WHAT HAPPENED????

I don’t know if this has been answered in another thread and if it has I appologize, What has happend to Ryan French He seemed very passionate about the project when I watch him explain the demo at the SDCC last year but no word of him or from him since.

Cheers

He worked for Sierra so when the publisher changed he no longer was involved, although I think he is still the character model

Correct.

sweet and now I know. thanks dudes

I never thought of that.Must be kinda weird to be the likeness in a game that’s no longer yours.

At this point.. it is more of an tribute to the hard work he put in while an Associate Producer.

And they are using him Royalty Free as my understanding.

And knowing is half the battle!

Man, that really stinks for him. He seemed really psyched about getting to work on the game. He seemed like a true Ghostbusters fan, so you can’t help but feel for the guy. But at least the luck son of a gun still gets to be the model for the rookie Ghostbuster. I’m sure we’d all kill for that honor! LOL!

I’m really gonna miss him. Especially his enthusiasm. :sigh:

LoL!

Did I miss something being funny? :-?

I was actually being sincere. I thought he did a really good job and I loved his narration to the previews of the game from last year. :sunglasses:

I’m going to miss his engaging acting and mind-blowing commentary.

“I wonder what’s in this room, maybe we’ll find a ghost, maybe we can even trap one? Uh oh what’s this!”

I kid Ryan French, I kid! He seemed like a very nice guy who cared a lot about the game. But let’s just hope he is never put in front of a camera again anytime soon…

I don’t think anyone that has talked about the game yet has exactly been Mr Personality. :whatever: I think that goes with they’re all “video game guys” I liked Ryan French, he seemed like a real guy and importantly, a fan. That said, they’re all qualified to talk about the game, as opposed to if some slick business talking guy talked about the game. :walterpeck: Some people just do better in front of the camera than others, I imagine.

Couldn’t agree more.

LOL! Yeah, Ryan French wasn’t exactly the most charasmatic guy you could ever wish to meet. But, you can’t really fault him for that. He’s a video game guy, not an actor. But, you still got the sense that he was a true Ghostbusters fan and was really excited to get to create this game. So, like I said, hard not to feel bad for somebody who came across as seemingly one of our own in a situation like this.

French made me laugh during his G4 X Play interview. They ask who the Rookie is modeled after and he delays and then says “me” in a weird way. I thought that was hilarious…

I remember that, it was pretty funny. Almost like he didn’t want to admit it.

LOL! That’s funny. I thought the same thing. It was kind of unintentionally funny. It was almost like he was going through a mental debate in his own mind. “Will this make me sound like a huge dork? …I don’t care! It’s freaking awesome!” LOL! The look on his face was almost like he wasn’t expecting that question.

the best part about that interview was when Morgan Webb Geeked out about Ghostbusters and the fact that he was the character model. In all the years I have watched XPLAY i’ve never seen her do that. after that I bought my tickets for comiccon because I knew this game was going to be special.
