I made a 3D printable Proton Pack and Particle Thrower check it out.

Your welcome to download my Ghostbusters 3D printable cut up Proton Pack & Particle Thrower / Neutrino Wand.

I used Stefan Otto’s Prop Plans so it ought to be pretty accurate, I found a few small parts and modified them but for the most part I made it my self it was a pain. I made the Particle Thrower / Neutrino Wand & pack as best I could. It should all fit together perfectly with a bit of sanding. I wouldn’t suggest using ABS plastic as it tends to “shrink” and since they all fit together like a puzzle that would suck if they didn’t fit as a result. Your best off with PLA or better but not ABS, unless you know it’s being printed in ABS perfectly & properly.

It has enough thickness on all sides for durability. It shouldn’t be not too thin any where I believe. Let me know if you find any major issues. I’ve also included the Fusion 360 files I used to make and or modify parts. I worked very hard making this 3d printable and put many, many hard long hours into it.

You’ll find all STL files, pictures and fusion 360 files in the rar file.

All the measurement pictures are in the rar files

So I assume that this will be compatible with the GBFans electronics? I’m wondering if it’d be better for me to print the packs rather than buy the shells.

I clicked on the link and it said 404 not found. I went to the thingiverse website and couldn’t find it. Was it taken down?

It looks like your links and pictures are broken. I am working on my build and have been printing a lot of parts for the wand/gun almost done printing and would love to see what yours ended up looking like.

love 3d printing technology. Would be great to get those pics up. what brand of 3d printer do you use, and how much filament did you purchase? Does a 3d printed proton pack outweigh the cost of a pack on E-Bay?

Don’t know where this guy went- government got him for distributing unlicensed nuclear accelerators no doubt!

@TheKevinShow I printed tgoacher’s pack and wand- the gb fans soundboard/wandlight kit/and cyclotron powercell kits require a little bit of modding.

-Wand light kit is a VERY tight fit, if you put all the lights in place and then put the board in with the top of it pushed all the way up against the heat sync side of the gun, with the bottom of the board reaching back to the opposite side of the gun (right side if you’re looking from the top).

-It’s not so much the powercell/cylcotron andd soundboard kits that need modding, but the wiring. I had to cut a pathway through powercell wall-EDA Booster base small- Center Cover2-Synch Segment. Not any trouble at all.

@timeware- I have a Flashforge Creator Pro which I’ve seen get as low a 800 dollars now. You’ll be needing about 120 dollars in plastic on top of that plus any electronics and details from GBFans you’d want. I’m making a GB film series so I had some budget to spend, if you don’t have that kind of scratch - you’ll need a bed at least the size of the flash forge creator pro for the largest piece (booster base small)- 8.9 x 5.9 x 5.7 inches.

My first pack took about 6 months of maybe a full dedicated day once a week. Putting this together is like a giant lego set from hell. I’d recommend going this route if you are planning on making more than one pack. The fourth pack I built I literally did in 20 hours (leading up to the first day of filming :-O).
