They don’t have it. I went to several Staples stores before.
damn. Well you can always get the resin ones.
I haven’t gotten to this stage in my thrower yet but could you use just the TIP from the whiteout bottles… and then put it on a film canister? You know the little black canister that 35mm film comes in?
you can get resin cast ones that are molded off originals with the labels pretty cheap
the scratch builder in me says use dowel rods. thats what I did, and it looks good to me ![]()
Honestly, out of everything I’ve seen, the Pert shampoo bottle looks the best!
But if you can’t find one of those… here’s what I used. It’s not movie accurate at all but I think it gets the job done!
It’s a 35mm film canister… the TIP from a whiteout bottle, and a 1 and 1/4 inch polywasher from the plumbing section of Home Depot.
I’ll post a completed pic once I get the graphic on there.
But here it is in it’s raw form.

I spent a while looking all over for white out bottles too, and eventually found the round ones in our work’s supply cabinet of all places. Anyway, after I used the white out bottles I did run into another good alternative.
In Wal-Mart, go to the spray paint section. There you should find a small bottle of appliance touch up paint that looks exactly like the round white out bottles. I can’t remember how much it costs though.

Thanks. I check it out.
