what are some possible alternatives to using a clippard for the gun (for those who dont know: clippard is the little round thing on the box part of the proton gun).
Clippards are a snap to scratchbuild for very little money. All you need is some PVC pipe and a cap off a small container, such as a hotel-sized bottle of shampoo. Cut the main tube to the right length, put a little piece of cardboard on one end to cover it, glue the container cap onto that end, make a base from wood (or just don’t worry about it), then paint it all up and slap a label on it. Presto!

Radar is right, use pvc for the body, and most people use the cap from a “white out” bottle for the tip of the clippard. That’s what I’m using on mine!
others have also used two different sized wooden dowls (sp?)
yup, making them is a snap, i’d recommend drilling a large whole in the center of the base part (kinda looks like the shape of and eye, so you can reinforce the inside seams with glue, i have two packs with pictires of home made clippards that you can see if you look for my post, its title is updated finally took the pictures or something along those lines

Sure thing Here are two of the packs i made the one set of clipards seems really light because it was a different paper (i recommend if your printing your own labels to use the best quality paper you can and make sure your printing at the best settings) Now i was in a hurry when making my clippards because i was building three other packs for friends (plus i gave them the better products as to not be a jerk) and then on my second pack i was fixing a friends pack that he tried to put together but gave up on. so im sure if you put your effort into it you can make them look 100 times better then mine i didn’t do seperate tubes for the black and silver its all one tub and i forgot to sand the one clippard top and i never put the groves in them. because i got tired after doing it 4 other times lol but hear ya go
this are black gloss painted clippards with aluminum painted tops
these are the flat black clippards with the labels that drive me nuts cuz there a little lighter and reflect the light funny Just remember use the best picture paper and the best printer settings and they’ll come out like the above ones
As far as the labels I glue them on with professional grade exterior carpenters wood glue because that stuff will keep labels on for a long long time if applied right
Hope the pictures were a help to you whether you deside to make your own clippards or not sorry i don’t have other pictures of them not mounted on the pack except the one on my post of the packs OH the caps are screwed in from the inside and i used washers to make the caps stick off the main tube. anyways any other questions feel free to ask
