to be honest, what I’d really want is main storyline online multiplayer. That would probably never happen, though.

I’d like to see a free roam multiplayer like Red Dead Redemption. Something where you don’t need other players to be on to play, but you can then team up for missions.
I like it! If they used the map from Prototype and gameplay mechanics from the GBVG that could be a lot of fun.
You could build your own ecto to drive around in!

Too bad the studio is most likely not even thinking GB anymore. It was sweet while it lasted.
I like the idea of Ecto customization. That was one of the cool things about the old Atari game, you could choose your car. I think Ghostbusters would be a really awesome sandbox single and multiplayer game (kinda like on the DS). It won’t happen, but we can dream.
At this point I would wager the only way to get another (good) game would be if GB3 happens. Of course, GB:TVG came out of nowhere with no movie tie-in, so you never know what can happen.
Ya, but where would the plot go? They already tied back to the first movie with the Shandor plot line. It came full circle. A new plot would be more episodic than part of the main story (which is what worries me about GB3, but that’s a different thread). If they do anything it would probably be DLC, which isn’t likely.
As I wrote that I thought of an arguement to my own words. The rookie starting a francise would be a great open world game and it wouldn’t be blasphemy the costomize a new ecto. I vote for a Philadelphia francise. A lot of famous landmarks and it wouldn’t be a far reach to see familiar faces.

They should just do a Real Ghostbusters game based off this engine and gameplay. Lots more story material and villains to pool from.
Nice to see that I’m not alone in the sandbox idea.
I think starting a new franchise is good. However, instead of using an existing city I would use a nondescript fictional city. That way you wouldn’t have to go to the effort of actually rendering an existing city. Something like what GTA and Red Dead Redemption did. Although I would like to see it set in the Pacific Northwest. It’s unlikely Portland would be a good setting but I could see it based in Seattle. My two cents.
I could imagine Seattle have a lot of ghosts in need of busting!

This is straight from the top,never gonna happen. I been ask over and over why. The sales were poor and Ghostbusters doesnt hold a fan base like Star Wars and GOW.
