Hello All,

I am installing one of the sound modules in my HT1000 radio and wonder if anyone is interested in “brand new” HT1000s that have been gutted and have the sound module installed. This would be very similar to the MT500 that I offer in this thread: INT: MT500 Interactive Sound Board Walkie Radio MT-500 - For Sale - GBFans.com

The HT1000’s would come with a brand new case, knobs, back and new 7" antenna - basically an all new outsides. Also included is a belt hook for easier attachment to the pack straps. The main thing I use from the original HT1000 is the speaker and switches. Getting the sound module to fit inside is quite laborious, and the HT1000s are more expensive, though plentiful, so the cost will have to be more than for a modded MT500.

The only thing missing for a TVG perfect look would be new labels. I don’t have those but maybe someone will offer them?

The sound quality of the HT1000 is a bit better than the sound quality of the MT-500.

Here is what the current design has:

    1. 9V battery and sound board fit in the HT1000
  1. A multi-color ribbon cable for multiple connections to HT1000 controls

*** Power switch

*** Talk Switch

*** Selection of sounds from two switches, the front toggle switch and the frequency selection switch.

  1. A sound module crammed with 228 sound samples organized into over 100 phrases.

  2. a potentiometer to adjust the volume

  3. a potentiometer to adjust the delay between samples playing (for self-initiated playback)

  4. a jumper block to select between different modes of operation

Here are the more interactive actions:

  • If you press the talk button for less than 1 second, it will automatically start the next quote when you release it.

      If you hold down the talk button for 1-3 seconds you get to step through a set sequence of responses from all 4 Ghostbusters

  If you hold down the talk button for 3-5 seconds you get the Ghostbusters commercial from GB1

  If you hold down the talk button for over 5 seconds the entire Walkie talkie sequence from GB1 will play

Here are the different modes that can be selected by the HT1000’s frequency selector and toggle switch:

    1. Only samples from TVG radio chatter and GB1 and GB2 Radio chatter

    2. Only samples from GB1 movie (not just radio chatter)

    3. Only samples from GB2 movie (not just radio chatter)

    4. All samples

A jumper on the board will select between sequential and random order playback of the selected samples.
