I am just curious about what everyone thought about the new Iron Man movie. Personally, I think it wasen’t bad.
The thing I liked best about the movie was that it didn’t try to tie everything up at the end and set them up for the future. There are several plots that they just left dangling such as:
War Machine-that was the obvious one and the one that will definitely be in the sequel
Stark’s Alcoholism-when he wasn’t Iron Man I don’t remember him without a drink
Tony’s heart problem-in the comics he has been cured from that for a while
It seems to me that they are planning for multiple movies and I’m glad they are leaving themselves plenty of good stories to tell.
I loved it. I’d buy tickets and watch it three more times. Yeah, Tony’s cured his heart problem in the comics, but that hasn’t happened yet in the movies. It may be in the sequel.
I’d enjoy if they did the “body regenerating” thing Tony did to cure his heart condition by faking his death and putting himself into cryostasis while letting his body heal… I could see them doing that around the end of movie 2 and allowing Rhodie to take over as Iron Man/Warmachine for a movie or two and then having a third Iron Man when Tony wakes back up from the stasis… I somehow doubt they will go that route (getting 5 movies in basically the same series, just under different titles) but I know Downey Jr. has said that he wants to use the comics as a reference since there’s forty-five years of story with the character!

I am just really happy that they didn’t try to do everything with cgi. I am glad Iron Man was and actual person wearing armour.
Just got back from it and it was amazing.
Comedy, Action, Romance, Violence, Hate.
What more could you ask for.
Every character in the film was spot on. It was all believable and “yes, its very cool”
If you like superheroes, comics, or a good action flick with a solid storyline, see Iron man.

Oh, I LOVED it. I man, props, people? Did you see the ankle units? LED’s moving metal parts? The holo CAD designs? Stan Winston is the man!!! Can’t wait for the sequel!!
