Length of pipes on pack

Does anyone know the length of the 2 pipes? - I’ve pointed arrows to in the photo below.

Many thanks

Norm’s plans have measurements for both the filler plug and beam line here:

However, does 6 inches and 5 1/4 inches seem a little big to anybody else? I haven’t gotten to this point on my pack yet but I’m planning on eyeballing the size of everything else on the pack and making the plugs proportional instead of just following instructions.

I could use a little input here too.

i thought they were. so what i did was laid that pack face up, put the tubes in, and then pushed them all the way in so they were on the table. glued them in place and cut off the extra in the back. the reason i actually did it that way was so when the glue hardened, the tubes would be straight. but not the tubes are maybe like 4 inches or so and i think they look better than the recomended length

According to Stefan’s plans they are just over 5 and a quarter inches, (5.375" to be exact) that includes the inch and a half or so pushed into the cosmetic plating so only about 3.75" to 4" is actually exposed. You can see for yourself here…

I echo Colin’ response, Stefan’s plans are awesome, check his for good measurements.

Even though Stefan’s plans show the 2 pipes to stick out the same distance from the pack, in most Planet Hollywood pictures, it looks like the left pipe is shorter. Here’s an angle I found where it’s undeniable:

Those of you with finished packs, what have most of you done? Made both pipes the same or have them staggered like in the reference photos?

I did them the same length. I can agree completely that they are staggered, it could be that the angle of the shot is what may be creating an illusion of them being different, then again I could be wrong.

Thanks for the replies guys

The positions of the beam line is lower than the filler plug pipe (which sits on, about, a 1" higher seat of the pack). So in this instance the pipes could be similar sizes.
