Does anyone know how long the ribbon cable on the pack is supposed to be? I got my hands on some during a recent dumpster dive but I’m not sure if it’s quite long enough.
I’m not sure of the exact length… But it shouldn’t be more than 2 feet.
2 feet seems kinda long. I know lots of folks here buy their ribbons from Charles Walker…how long are his?
Charles Walker sells his in 2’ lengths…
The ribbon cable on my pack is 1 foot and 11 inches. That only leaves a couple inches to stick in the hole (Wait a minute… That didn’t sound right. :lol: )

well i think i cut mine too short..i mean its about a foot and ahalf but it still seems too short ya know..and soon the gb1 ribbon cable will be available
I use 30" (2.5 feet) because on a roll of GB2 style Spectra wire the length of repetion is about 60". 30" is half of that and is perfect for the pack.
And for that matter, the width should be 3". 60 wire count/30 twisted pair.

Oh? Seems like I read (probably here, but I can’t remember) that the GB1 ribbon cable had never been found. Care to share any details?
