Hello! Don’t normally post anything but I’m just about finished with the Life Sized Spirit Pack '89 conversion. I’m terrible at step by step shots but I changed:
The Ribbon Cable & Clamps (Charlesworth Dynamics)
Elbows and Brass fittings
All resistors to resin (Heavy Props)
Hoses
Those were the basic changes. Then I started hacking it to pieces and reshaped the EDA box, Ion Arm, Cyclotron, HGA and the cosmetic plate area behind it with foam core. Then replaced the booster tube with a PVC one I made.
I used some spare resin parts that I had laying around:
Clippard on Pack
Bumper
N Filter
Shock Mount
Booster Ladder
(those I don’t know the origins of)
I decided not to use the stock Spirit thrower and go for a scratch built one. The box is made from foam core using Throwing Chickens resin shell as a reference. Then every knob is from the random resin part lot I’ve got. The only 2 things I used from the stock wand were the tip and hat lights. Mounted it on an Alice Frame using a piece of plywood as a motherboard.
I also tried my had at some super straps that are a little ugly but fit the part well! I’ve got to debunk some wand stuff before I can call it done I had rigged some static lights into it but something isn’t right and I haven’t had the time to pull it apart and look into it.
And a bonus side by side with my scratch '84
