Mattel Shows Off New Ghostbusters Figures at Toy Fair

CoolToyReview.com brings us the first images from Toy Fair 2010 in New York City. Mattel is showing off several new Ghostbusters figures, as well as several that will be released soon.

Among the new Mattel Ghostbusters figures is a 6" Ray Stantz in a blue lab coat from the Ghostbusters’ first commercial. He comes with presumbly the Subway Ghost and a Ghost Sniffer accessory. Also seen for the first times are the 6" Slimed Peter Venkman figure, and the next 12" releases of Peter Venkman and Winston Zeddemore.

UPDATE: As more times passes, other sites are adding their pictures from the event. ActionFigs.com has a wonderful Ghostbusters Gallery of pictures from the event. Check out their Ghostbusters Gallery here.

Thanks to dtblack for the heads up.

What I posted at GBN:

That “commercial Ray” figure is as good as bought, the ghost is great and the scale Ghost Sniffer? Awesome.

Peck comes with his own trap?

New Ray in labcoat from the commercial?

WHAT???

Venkman’s untucked pants legs look good and the Ray in labcoat looks awesome!

But only one new figure? Is anyone else a little underwhelmed?

Does anyone have anymore picks of those figures? I must have ALL 3!!!

Nice. I think I’m all in on these things, officially. I’m really digging the commercial Ray. Is it just me or did they fix his head?

The ghost w/ commercial Ray is the ghost that flies out from under the street after the CU explodes right?

Those are awesome.

oh man im pumped these are sweet. that ghost for the lab coat ray does look like the ghost the comes up from the subway tunnel, but i thought it was more pinkish. Doesnt matter this is sweet i feel so much better about this line now

Nice, I’m glad to see some new developments. It’s cool that those of us who missed SDCC Egon can still get a Slimer in scale. I gotta say though, I’m surprised that there’s no sign of unslimed Egon and Peter. Maybe they’re holding back so they have something to announce later in the year.

Why on Earth are they still making toys based on Cars? Pixar’s released three movies since then!

Wall-e deserved more toys.

is that slimed venkman different than the slimed one we saw before?

I wasn’t interested in the 6" figures at first but now I will be buying the Commercial Ray, Slimed Peter, and Walter Peck. Since Walter Peck has been pushed back does anyone know when the Commercial Ray or Slimed Peter will be released?

Yes, that one was not slimed, only the 12" head was slimed at the San Diego showing.

They stated there one of their big concerns and projects was the scale of the ghosts.

I’m really hoping for street clothes figures myself eventually, with camera equipment accessories, and one better have the library ghost.

Does anyone else want there to be an ecto-1 for these figures or is it just me???

Except for the Peck figure which is scaring the ■■■■ out of me.

Peck’s trap doesn’t open, but it makes for a very nice looking closed trap. I was hoping Mattel would release a non opening trap because the opening one doesn’t look so great when closed.

I have a feeling Peck’s closed trap is going to be the one to fit into the containment unit, considering the size of the hinges on Winstons trap.
