FYI it doesn’t look to come apart easy, they have caps that look like they are glued in place over the screw holes. I’m going to poke around a bit more on mine before trying to pry or dremel them out.

Hey guys. I had a thought tonight regarding the matty wand. Could the jack on the back barrel possibly be used as a toggle switch extension piece? As in having a pack with lights and a battery and run it all from the back with a two wire or one wire adapter? I could be totally wrong on this but as I said it was just an idea.
It has been stated by Mattel and forum members the jack on the back simple sends signals. Similar to the ghost trap/petal. The idea is that if they made a pack it would connect to the thrower. When you powered on the thrower it would send a signal to the pack turning on the lights and sounds. No audio is transmitted, just a simple on off signal.
I understand there is no audio. I’m just trying to figure out how one could wire this up to a pack using the jack on the gun to control lights.
I’ll be working on that in the near future when I take the grip apart.

Nice review! Your right UPS seems to be the way to go. I am learning that lesson the hard way with cornerstone logistics. I ordered mine on the 20th and last update has it in Fisher, Indiana where it has not moved for 4 days. The USPS tracker I have still shows it as in a pre-shipment status (meaning cornerstone has not handed it off to USPS) but yeah good review!
I myself like mattys DHL shipping method. Only 4 days for it to ship to me up here in Ontario Canada. My brother ordered a pair of goggles a couple days also using the same shipping method as I did for the wand and it looks as if they will only take 4 days also. I am still waiting on a wand to show up from gbfans. I’m now thinking about ordering a pair of goggles from matty especially if they arrive as quick as my wand did and my brothers ecto goggles. All in all I am very happy with Mattel. I have not had a bad experience at all with them.
I ordered mine on the 16th from Marty with ups/USPS shipping I got it yesterday the tracking info never updated from Ontario Ca. So you guys with the same issue I had will hopefully will get yours soon!!!
So I called Matty, they said I should call the local post office in Sparks, NV (where it has been in limbo since the 26th) and if I dont get my wand by tuesday, then call back and they will investigate. Oh well, I couldve sworn I selected the UPS ground option, because USPS ground doesnt exist. I have to check my emails and invoice from Matty.
I paid 15.40 for S&H, does that add up to anyone elses S&H charges with UPS or USPS? Oh wait, i had also ordered 2 Venkman’s in addition to the wand…

I am going to wait until the end of next week and give them a call, what with the holidays it is somewhat understandable that it is going to take longer. I really hope it shows up monday, by their tracking last known place was in Fisher Indiana. That is only a 8 hour drive from where I am.

USPS tracking site shows a short version of above with last place being Indiana. It also says usps does not have the package and its in “pre-shipment” phase
Last entry on usps is arriving at shipping facility on the 26th at 640am.
Im on hold with USPS,(going on 25 mins) try to figure out wtf is going on. I didnt have this problem when I ordered the PKE last year.
Yeah I still got nothing still beyond the initial notice that the info had been received.
Was on hold for a total of 38 mins, and now they have opened up an investigation.
