Hello everyone, can you fit a Matty Neutrino Wand onto a home made proton pack? Can the split tube be fitted onto it in some way?? Thanks

Yes the matty wand will fit on a pack. You just need to get a v-hook that will fit the wand. I’ve got one on my pack. And I know of a bunch of ppl that use them on packs.

That is Jay’s build (excellent read) he makes a type of coupler for his Matty wand as a makeshift until his Alu thrower arrived. When doing this just remember you won’t get any interaction between the wand and pack. The pack and wand will be separate entities and as such will not work together. If you want full functionality, lights and sound to work together then you would have to build your own thrower and buy the relevant light and sound kits. As V30 said, in the for sale section you can buy Matty V Hooks which will allow you to holster your Matty wand on the packs gun mount.

Yes and yes.

The wand comes with a female v-hook. You just need the male end and then you can fit it onto anything. There are several sellers here that can make you one if you don’t have the tools to do it yourself.

The split tube can be mounted in several ways. Personally I used a 3/4 to 1" PVC coupler. The narrow end comes threaded so you can just twist the split tube onto it like a screw. And the 1" end fits snug over the Matty wand’s end cap so no glue/nail/etc required. Just sand it and paint it black.

Hi,

is there any chance to get the Hose mounted without a coupler? What happend when the Screw at the End gets removed does it fall appart?

Do you remember where you bought it and how the dimension read on the box? I must be reading it wrong at the store(s) I’ve gone to.

If Home Depot doesn’t have them try Lowes if you have one in your area. I’m kinda surprised Home Depot doesn’t have it. Did you try both the plumbing and electrical section? Both use PVC

I was in the plumbing section. Browsing their online store but not coming up with much that matches exactly pictured above. Maybe the design changed but seems like you got your coupling not that long ago right?

Check the electrical section, too. They should have a coupler very similar to the one found in the plumbing section.
