Will the GB Fans order option shut down once the Early Access sale starts Wednesday morning?
I have not yet decided. I might continue taking orders even after the sale begins, just to allow international fans an option to get them.
I didn’t think the googles were restricted internationally?

While I appreciate that you’re doing this (I haven’t decided to take advantage of it or not yet), it kind of bothers me that you act like the $20 premium is just to cover shipping from MattyCollector to you.
I don’t see anything wrong with making some money off of this, so why not be up front about that? You’ll end up making about $10-15 off each sale (because when ordering in mass quantities from MattyCollector the shipping only works out to a couple bucks per pair of goggles).
Again, I really don’t think there’s anything wrong with what you’re doing, I just don’t like the somewhat misleading implication that you’re only charging a premium to cover shipping costs.
EDIT: Ok, I won’t be taking advantage of it. I’m sorry, but there is no way that Priority Mail for something like this will cost $30 to ship from Michigan to western NY. I have an eBay business as well, AJ. That’s not correct.

Encase no one has noticed, DigitalRiver has blundered on the site this morning. They updated the Goggle’s page price to… $1,100.00
lol Hope they get this fixed before sales start.
Still says $110 when I look at it.
Ah I noticed it’s just messed up on the Early Access page, not the normal one.

Truthfully, I don’t have a problem with the small premium to pay for hopefully a guarantee on getting these. I figure not only do I have to pay the shipping from Mattycollector to AJ, but then the shipping from AJ to myself. Shipping was only 18 for me on the order I placed. Small premium for peace of mind, especially compared to what ebay sellers are already trying to get.
I admit it.
After I pay the shipping (and TAX) from MattyCollector. I buy the proper sized boxes, bubble wrap, tape.. etc. I pay the PayPal / Google checkout fees (appox $4 per order)… yes. It looks like I’ll be making about $5 for my time.
USPS Priority is going to run about $20 minimum on each of these orders. This is based on the weight and size of the boxes that will be required. We also have UPS shipping options that are lower.
Obviously the closer you live to me the cheaper shipping is (and the site takes that into account).
And yeah. I had one order come up with a price tag of $11,000. Awesome MattyCollector.
Just an idea… why not just have MattyCollector ship them out directly to each person? I know that takes more time to do each order singlely, but it would probably end up saving everyone money, as you wouldn’t have to include the boxes/bubble wrap/etc. in your calculations.
I mean, from SONICR’s posting, it looks like shipping for one of them from California to Missouri is only $12.

So is everyone with early access waiting to place their order until the pricing blunder is corrected?
I’d rather deal with AJ then MattyCollector. Living in Canada the shipping is always atrocious and I’ve built faith and trust in AJ doing this. Paid and awaiting brother!
We all know how poorly MattyCollector / Newgistics ships things. I wouldn’t have any control over ensuring items get delivered by the proper method (IE Priority vs not).
I also am able to do quality control to ensure you don’t receive an item that is just floating around in a generic box, getting all beat up.
Well, I just bit the bullet and purchased one. Thanks for setting this up AJ and I hope it all works out.
