Hey everyone, I got this disappointing e-mail a few minutes ago…

Hello,

We’re contacting you about your order for the Ghostbusters Slimer Edition video game

bundle. We wanted to let you know that the items included in

the bundle have changed, and as a result, the price of the bundle has been lowered.

Unfortunately, we recently learned the Minimates we expected to offer in this bundle

aren’t available. We’re sorry for any disappointment this causes. To help make up

for this change, we’ve lowered the price of this bundle from $129.99 to $109.99.

This change won’t impact our ability to fill your order–the release date is still

June 16, and we expect to fulfill your order on time.

Again, we’re very sorry for any disappointment this causes. We hope to see you again

This was one of the main draws in getting the Slimer edition. The Slimer bust was nice, but exclusive minimates were quite irresistible, and now this… :sigh:

P.S. I’m not going to be available for the PS Home event you guys are holding, I’ll be gone this entire weekend. What’s your PSN name? You can PM it to me if you like, I want as many ghostheads as possible for multiplayer action and discussion.

Wow, They arent even selling the Slimer Edition anymore. If you look at the listings it says they are unavailable.

Got the same e-mail tonight. That stinks, but I wanted the Slimer statue and the Ecto-1 more. Ah, well.

What’s weird is they said they dropped the price of the set from 129 to 109, but I had the Wii set on reserve which was already 109 to begin with. I checked the status of my order and it still says 109. I wonder if that price is going to drop as well or not?!

Holy hell there’s no annoying astericks before each line of what you typed. It’s a god damn miracle!

Oh and as for the mini mates, at least we got a decent price cut, and hopefully they’ll be available later on.

The whole reason I wanted to pre-order the wii version was for the minimates, but with the tru exclusive packs I’ll have plenty of ghosts for the collection. Maybe with the lower price I’ll still do the exclusive order, but nothing else really adds value for me.

I am actually okay with this.

THe minimates weren’t the Ghostbusters, or Slimer, or Stay Puft, or the Scoleri Brothers… or GOZER.

They were weird-o ghosts, and I thought 130$ was pretty steep.

I’m actually glad they dropped the price and chopped the 'mates. I might get a few busters to scatter around the office, for sure the Stay Puft bank, cause that’s cool…

But no mates is okay with me!

Clearly I’m in the minority, though.

I also noticed that it said my order wouldn’t ship until JUNE 22nd. Looks like I’ll be playing the PC version first, as I’m sure I can get that on the cheap from my local Fry’s. Weird, though.

Same here. I’m guessing the email was just a generic one and they didn’t want to bother changing it for 1/3 of the orders, but I hope the price of the Wii set goes down accordingly (as it should).

I’m hoping they’ll give those who did order the bundle priority when the minimates are finally released. I was kinda looking forward to the little guys…

Just checked amazon to see if the price changed. The Wii price has been dropped to 89.99. I guess the best thing to come out of this is the price drop. :whatever:
