My 1/6 Scale GB

Overall, I gotta say I wish the 1/6th scale figures Mattel is releasing were more accurate. And that trap! Geez! Did you see the size of the door hinges? I still say Hot Toys should be makin these things. Oh, and in case anyone forgot, I did happen to make a custom. Mattel…why didn’t you hire me for product development and consultation?! LOL!

My 1/6th scale trap. THIS is how the trap SHOULD look:

And here are my custom 1/6th scale pack pics…well, some of em:

Plus, those goggles Mattel is putting out look too much on the “cartoony” side. They should look more “military”, ya know?

you certainly did an awesome job Ludy, you’re trap is better than the prototype one from the show - you should contact that guy that was on here and try to to get some better ideas across to them

sigh clues and lives are needed

I’d rather there be a few discrepancies so they can be produced well and in large numbers without being 150 to 200 bucks a piece thanks

Yeah, there’s always a tradeoff of some kind, accuracy and features vs pricepoint.

Raise the price, and a lot of people might be put off, because they would want the set of 4 GB figures, not just one.

Also prototypes are exactly that, prototypes.. typically when things actually go into production things change.

Well, as a collector that easily drops $50 - $150 on a 12" 1/6 scale figure with insanely detailed sculpts, articulation and costumes…paying a little more for quality is totally worth it to me. I mean, who wants an “affordable” piece of ■■■■ sitting on their self? Not I! :sigh:

And as for clues and lives…I indeed have both.

Oh darn you have convinced me these are such ■■■■ (hmmm where is the sarcasm button)

I hold a firm belief that the whiners and complainers really don’t

Odds are, like any other decent popular property, Hot Toys will pick them up as well, so we’ll see both affordable and also uber accurate collectables as well.

Hot Toys does what they do by being in another country, having product imported, and they avoid non competition contracts byt making 1:6 figure you need to assemble, which falls them into the “model” definition, as opposed to the “figure” definition.

Haha…whatever dude.

Let’s hope so! Can you imagine if HT does acquire the license?!? We could have not only kick-ass accuracy, but perhaps even 1/6 scale light up equipment like the Alien Kane and Dallas figs!!

Your signature makes you look even more like a tool then your initial post did

Which seemed to have all intentions to try and do nothing more then pimp your work and snub another that is actually a positive development where your nerdom and whining like most is completely negative.

Yeah, well your avatar makes you look like a ■■■■…what’s your point?

Obviously you get your kicks by trying to push people’s buttons. Say what you will, but I’ve had my signature over at the GB.net for the longest time, and I made my 12" figure and the myspace for it 2 years ago. So, you can’t go tellin me I’m trying to pimp squat. I reposted detail photos as a comparison to what Mattel is comin out with… That’s what forums are for, you ■■■■■■. Sharing ideas AND opinions. So you can shove your ■■■■■■■■ attitude.

Round 2 . . . FIGHT!

What if I am gay? Would that be some sort of issue too you bigot?

You did try and pimp your shit don’t lie. You could of easily made a new topic like this in the prop sections and let people discuss your work, no issues. You could of politely said something about the hinges on the trap and asked if something like that would be worked out soon before the final release…BUT you plastered your shit all over the discussion yelling “LOOK AT MY WORK ITS MUCH BETTER!!”

You may have had that signature before but when you decided to use it was no coincidence.

These forums are for discussion you are right…but not just about you. So don’t try and clog up something good with your attention grabbing bullshit, and whining.

The fact stands these are not meant to be a high end, only selling a very select number of them item. They wanted to make a more mass produced collectible toy that would last and still look nice, they seem to be doing a nice job even for these just being prototypes. I can speak for most that I have a lot of things that 250 bucks can go to before a Ghostbuster collector doll.

Hahaha… ::YAWN:: Your argument is tiring at best, so to you sir I say…good day! LOL!!

I understand my brain gets tired when something goes way beyond it sometimes.

Well, we have that in common at least.
